Chapter 358 - 357: Damian’s Change

Chapter 358 - 357: Damian’s Change

Bella hummed twice at his words, "Of course, I’m still not over it. We’re about to pass the toll booth, so that’s it, bye-bye."

With that, she didn’t wait for Damian to respond and directly hung up the phone.

It was the first time she hung up on Damian like this, and it felt so thrilling.

Bella held her phone and sat in the back seat, giggling to herself.

Judy Zimmerman glanced at her through the rearview mirror and said, "Bella, your boyfriend sure is considerate. I’ve seen some celebrity couples who can’t go public with their relationship, and many broke up because they couldn’t understand. Even among co-workers, there are many who can’t withstand the pressure of public opinion and end up parting ways. Having a supportive boyfriend like yours is quite rare."

Damian agreed so easily this time that even Bella found it surprising.

She had actually been prepared to find it hard to explain and planned to be extra cautious to avoid being caught by paparazzi. After all, she’s not that famous now, and no paparazzi would camp out to follow her.

But this time, even though Damian hesitated a little, he was surprisingly agreeable, giving her an unexpected surprise.

Bella smiled sweetly and said, "Piggy, don’t call me Bella sis anymore. It sounds awkward. We’re about the same age, just call me Bella."

"Hehe, okay." Judy wanted to become familiar with her quickly to build trust between them, so she didn’t insist, "Bella, are you new to this industry?"

"Yeah." Bella nodded, "’Brocade River and Mountain’ is the first TV series I’ve ever filmed."

"Can you keep up with the shooting schedule? Do you find it exhausting?" Judy asked, "I heard Director Ford’s projects are always on a tight schedule. Plus, with the recent situation with Vivian Norris, judging by the online reactions, they might replace the lead actress. If the lead role’s scenes are reshot entirely, your workload will increase accordingly."

"Well, there’s no other way." The smile on Bella’s lips faded, "Everyone should be responsible for their actions. Piggy, since we’re now colleagues, we should support each other. I hope you understand what I mean."

"Of course." Judy could easily tell Bella was purposely being upfront with her, "Even if it’s just for my salary, I’ll work hard."

Bella nodded and changed the subject, "Piggy, who did you work with before?"

"I used to work at Aurelian Media, assisting various artists on site. I wasn’t fixed to any one artist," Judy replied.

"Aurelian Media? President Lloyd’s company?" Bella frowned, feeling like everything somehow tied back to certain people around her.

"Yes, but as a small assistant, I never got to meet President Lloyd," Judy asked, "Bella, do you know President Lloyd?"

"President Lloyd is one of the investors in ’Brocade River and Mountain’. I saw him at a crew dinner," Bella brushed off the question and said, "Piggy, I’m a bit sleepy and going to nap for a bit. Wake me when we arrive."

"I’ll turn up the temperature a bit."

"Thanks."

There was a blanket in the car, so Bella took it to cover herself, reclined the seat, and started to sleep.

She slept rather soundly and was only woken up by the phone’s vibrating as they were nearing the filming base.

Bella, half-asleep, fumbled for her phone, "Hello."

"Bella, are you back yet?" Sharon Cheney’s voice came from the other end.

"I’m back. Godmother, has something happened?"
