Chapter 424 - 423: Don’t See Her Again

Chapter 424 - 423: Don’t See Her Again

Bea still didn’t know exactly what had happened, so she could only comfort Bella for now.

"I know," Bella lowered her head, pinching her fingers, and said, "The real difficulty is for Damian now, but I can’t help at all."

She always seemed to be causing trouble for Damian, yet didn’t have the ability to help, which made her feel terrible.

She wondered about what had happened between Mrs. Sinclair and her parents.

"You have to trust my brother," Bea said as she restarted the car, then asked, "Should I take you back to your apartment or to the orphanage?"

"The orphanage," Bella was feeling anxious and troubled and didn’t want to be alone in the apartment.

"Alright," Bea followed her brother’s words and didn’t ask more, driving Bella straight back to the orphanage.

Bella got out of the car at the orphanage entrance, "Bella, thank you for bringing me back."

"No problem. I’ll head back now, don’t overthink things, wait for my brother to call you," Bea still felt uneasy and added a comforting remark.

"Okay, I know. Drive safely," Bella nodded.

"Okay, bye." Bea closed the car window, then drove back to The Sinclair Family’s old house.

Once inside, she noticed the atmosphere in the living room was cold and tense. Her mother was leaning against her father’s side, eyes swollen and tear-streaked.

Mrs. Miller came up to take her coat and hung it on the coat rack, whispering, "Miss, the madam has been crying for a long time, please try to comfort her."

Bea frowned and walked over, glancing at Damian Sinclair, who was sitting in silence, and softly asked, "Mom, what’s going on?"

"My baby," Mrs. Sinclair raised her swollen eyes with a sobbing tone, "Mom’s upset."

"Alright, don’t cry," Bea quickly stepped forward to soothe her mother’s emotions, thinking that her mother couldn’t possibly dislike Bella Acker that much, could she?

Mrs. Sinclair leaned in Bea’s arms, wiping her tears and said, "Tell your brother to break up with that Bella Acker, the two of them absolutely cannot be together."

"Mom," Bea softly asked, "Bella Acker is a very kind girl at heart, why do you dislike her so much?"

"I don’t care if she’s kind, even if she’s a savior, as long as she’s Ronan Rhodes’s daughter, it’s a no," Mrs. Sinclair said and began to sob again, "What did I do in a past life to owe so much debt to The Rhodes Family that both my sons have to suffer at their hands? Ugh, ugh..."

"Ronan Rhodes?" Bea frowned, looking up at Mr. Sinclair and Damian Sinclair, asking, "Isn’t he the one who killed big brother?"

Damian remained silent, and Mr. Sinclair said nothing either. Mrs. Sinclair cried, "Who else but that damned man? My son was just a young teenager, just starting to learn a little about the company, and he was driven to death by him. How can I forgive him! I can never forgive him in my lifetime!"

"Enough." Mr. Sinclair, who hadn’t spoken, finally opened his mouth, "Damian, this matter is over, don’t see that woman again. Let’s go upstairs." He said, helping Mrs. Sinclair up and taking her upstairs back to the bedroom.

After they left, Bea turned her gaze to Damian Sinclair, "Bro, Bella Acker is really Ronan Rhodes’s daughter?"

"I don’t know either. Mom said she saw the photos, asked Bella, and Bella personally admitted it." Damian Sinclair frowned, expressionless, feeling a bit gloomy.
